Ndlambe Lockdown Support Group

During the lockdown a group of dedicated people like Robin Hyde f&b manager of Royal St.Andrews, Lunga Mcetywa and Ashley Backward, both members of Nemato Change a Life and David McGregor of Shaka Surf School formed together with more volunteers the NLSG to assist the people in need with food parcels.
We as Nemato Foundation supported them from the very first beginning.
The volunteers handed out food parcels, clothes and blankets, toys for the kids and even dog food.
It was so good to see that a lot of family's were helped through very difficult times.

Soup kitchen

Also this year we supported the soup kitchen with a monthly donation. We admire the dedication of all the volunteers who provides family's in need not only with food, but also with clothes and blankets.
Diny Hartleb is the great volunteer who looks after the clothes for many years. She takes in the clothes, wash it, make sure it's all in one piece and than hand it over to the baby's, kids and adults who needed it most.

Happy Homes

We are delighted to tell that the kids and foster mothers of the Happy Homes are doing fine. During the lockdown we could provide them with food parcels and we also provided them with garden drums so that they can grow their own vegetables.
And as usual the foster mothers and kids went for Christmas shopping. To buy new clothes and of course a Christmas present.

Sport projects
Unfortunately during this lockdown the sports projects were on hold. But we were very busy with the upcoming year.
And we have some great news.
We came in contact with Barry Scharneck and after a few meetings, we decided to support their Mzansi's Rugby Academy.

More good news

In 2021 we will launch 2 sport projects under the umbrella of the Nemato Foundation.criketAcademy2020 1

We will launch Nemato Foundation Cricket Academy as our first sports project with the coach Thanduxolo Shotana, also known as the coach of the Rainbows.

And just like the rugby, the training will take place at the Nomzamo Secondary School in Nemato were we build up cricket nets a few years ago. We have a great cooperation with the principal Mr. Mdana.

"Sport reunites and it doesn't only keep the mind healthy and the body fit, it also instills discipline" were the words of Mr.Mdana and we totally agree.

Our second sports project will be

Nemato Foundation Karate Academy with the great coach Clive Naido who is well known as a karate teacher in Port Alfred and surroundings for several years. The training will be in Station Hill.
We had great meetings the past year with Clive and looking forward to our cooperation.
